Nick Bova is a pharmacist, entrepreneur and global leader in veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturing, with a long-standing focus on innovation, quality and scalable execution in the animal health sector.

He founded Bova Australia in 2008, growing it into Australia’s largest veterinary compounding and manufacturing facility, supported by pharma-grade infrastructure and a team of more than 130 staff. In 2017, Nick expanded the platform internationally with the launch of Bova UK, a specialist veterinary manufacturer delivering high-quality, clinically relevant medicines to the UK market.

In 2022, Bova Australia and Bova UK were acquired by Swedish animal health group Vimian for a combined enterprise value exceeding A$200 million. Nick continues to serve as CEO of both Bova Australia and Bova UK, ensuring continuity of leadership and operational excellence.

Alongside Bova, Nick founded Luoda Pharma, a virtual pharmaceutical company established to partner with global pharmaceutical organisations to advance compounded formulations through regulatory pathways and into fully licensed products. Luoda has successfully licensed products across the Australian, UK and US markets, providing Nick with deep, first-hand experience in regulatory strategy, development execution and commercialisation.

With more than 15 years as a registered pharmacist and over 17 years of senior leadership experience across pharmacy and veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturing, Nick brings rare, end-to-end insight into product development, regulation, manufacturing and commercial scale-up. He is recognised for a pragmatic, execution-focused leadership style and a track record of building durable, clinically relevant businesses.

Arrow Ventures is an investment firm founded to institutionalise the capabilities Nick developed over two decades operating at the intersection of science, regulation, manufacturing and commercial execution in the animal health world. Repeated exposure to under-resourced academic assets, first-time founders and orphaned programmes, combined with strong acquirer demand for de-risked, execution-ready assets, highlighted a structural gap in early-stage animal health investing.

Arrow Ventures was created to fill that gap. Pairing venture capital with pharma-grade execution, real-world validation and disciplined development to systematically build acquisition-ready animal health companies at scale.
