Shaun Hendy is Callaghan Innovation’s Chief Innovation Expertise Officer. He is also Chief Scientist and co-founder of Toha, a company that builds and operates digital marketplaces for environmental action, and an adjunct professor at the School of Science in Society at Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington. Previously, he was the founding director of Te Pūnaha Matatini and led the team that won the 2020 Prime Minister’s Science Prize for their COVID-19 response. He has won a number of other awards, including the E. O. Tuck medal for applied mathematics.
