Ella works at Callaghan Innovation enabling the commercialisation of industry-led research in biotechnology to advance New Zealand’s R&D ecosystem. With expertise in the life sciences, agrichemicals, and natural health products, she has successfully facilitated research partnerships, secured funding and supported businesses in scaling bio-based innovations.

Drawing on her experience in R&D at a medical device biotech start-up, Ella works closely with businesses to support their innovation journey, turning research into market-ready solutions. She is passionate about collaboration between the biotechnology industry and research to drive outcomes for the people of New Zealand.
