Mr Neil Ellis is currently acting as the Gene Technology Regulator, within the Australian Government’s Office of the Gene Technology Regulator (OGTR). Mr Ellis is an experienced regulator, with over 8 years at the OGTR. Between 1999-2001, he was also part of the original policy team that established the OGTR and Australia’s Gene Technology Act. Mr Ellis has worked across the Australian Government in various regulatory roles including biosecurity, environmental protection, and chemical and medicine safety.
